| Info | Cavan County Councillor Peter McVitty is contesting the general election in Cavan-Monaghan. The Ballyconnell man, who was first elected to the council in 1999, and was appointed as the body's chairperson in 2006/2007. His only other national election campaign was in 2007 when he unsuccessfully sought election to the Administrative Panel of Seanad Eireann.
