| Info | Since moving to Fort Collins 40 years ago, Gerry has resided in the northwest district. He has a long history of public service and was elected six times to represent the citizens of northwest Fort Collins, serving on the city council from 1981-1994. Gerry was the city’s Mayor from 1984-1985, Assistant Mayor 1983-1984 and Mayor Pro Tem 1993-1994.
Re-elected to the Fort Collins City Council in April 2011 to represent the citizens of District 6, Gerry’s most recent term ended April 2019. During his tenure, in April 2013, 2015 and 2017, he was elected Mayor Pro Tem.
Gerry has previously met the needs of Fort Collins citizens by studying written materials and meeting with various proponents and opponents to ask questions and learn. He works with his fellow councilmembers and citizens to create coalitions to craft policy and enact it. Gerry’s passion is for solving local issues, ensuring systems are put in place to resolve any issues as they occur.
