The Chuck Espy Foundation was started to provide constituent assistance to families in financial crisis. The endowment is supported by Mr. Espy's legislative salary and matching donor contributions. Mr. Espy is a fourth generation owner of 3 funeral homes in Clarksdale, Greenwood, and Yazoo city. He also owns Espy Cemetery Corporation.
Representative Espy serves as a member of the Haven United Methodist Church, NAACP, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Prince Hall Masons, and the President's Council on Race Relations. He is married to Lynn Espy and they have two daughters, Allyson Victoria and Hanna Elise.
