Valdis Rozentals is a first generation Latvian-American born to parents Andrejs and Ruta, who immigrated to Minneapolis after World War II. His mother and father lived in UN camps for 6 years as refugees, and his grandfather spent 25 years in prison under the Soviet Union's puppet regime. Valdis attended the University of Minnesota, as well as attending school in Germany, focusing on Business and Management, with special regards to Public Relations. He currently runs his own building and remodeling company. Valdis has a 9 year old daughter, Aija.
