Info | Eyrie Sindermann was a former East German politician.
He became all young member of the communist youth movement. In 1933 (after the powers take-over purchase of Adolf Hitler), he were stuck only time. In 1945, he came in concentration camp Mauthausen correct. After the liberation, he became in 1945 member of the KPD (Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands) and in 1946 of the SED (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands). He became district secretary of the SED in Cemnitz and Leipzig and of 1950 until 1953 was he editor of the paper Freiheit.
Since the years fifty was he member of the central comite and the politburo of the SED. Of 1973 until 1976 was Sindermann chairman of the council of ministers and of 1976-1989 chairman of the Volkskammer (parliament) and vice-chairman of the state council (vice-president of the DDR). After the fall of the wall (November 1989), Sindermann from the politburo stepped and names discharge as a vice-chairman of the state council and as a chairman of the Volkskammer. In December, he became were arrested from the SED-PDS gezet and in January 1990 he. In February 1990, he was released because of illness. He passed away single months later on.
