George E. Scott has served on the Stillwater Township Committee since 2007. Before that Scott served on the Committee from 1995-1998 and again from 2002-2005. Scott was elected with 34% of the vote in 2001. Scott then returned to the Committee in 2006 with 25% of the vote ousting incumbent democrat Committeeman Louis Sylvester. He was re-elected in 2009 with 40% of the vote easily besting democrat George Lippencott. He went on to win 47% and 48% of the vote in 2012 and 2015 respectively running unopposed. He won 27% of the vote in 2018 besting democrat Kathleen Marshall by only 222 votes. Scott has served as Mayor from 2011-2013; then again from 2014-2016. Scott has been serving as Deputy Mayor since 2019 and was Deputy Mayor from 2013-2014.
