Angela and Gary, her husband of 33 years, have lived in their wonderfully close knit Midtown Fort Collins neighborhood for 20 years. They chose Fort Collins as their desired community to live after selling their successful heating and air conditioning business in Illinois.
In the Larimer community, Gary was well known for many years as “Gary the Energy Guy” while working as Poudre Valley REA's Energy Use Specialist. He currently works as Relationship Manager at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Company in Denver.
Angela and Gary relish their role as "Auntie and Unk" to their many treasured nieces and nephews. They share their home with Dachshund, Rosie and “Heinz 57,” Mazie. They have a wonderful church family at Peace With Christ in Fort Collins, and they enjoy supporting many local charities and the community that they are so proud to call home.
Professionally
Prior to becoming Clerk in 2013, Angela worked in the Larimer Clerk and Recorder’s office at the side of her predecessor for more than 10 years, with responsibility for everything from the budget to payroll and human resource matters, to daily operational matters. Her earlier professional life included working at the side of CEOs and/or top-level managers at Marathon Oil Company, Southern Steel Corporation, Allsup Inc., and National Pet Care Centers. The catalyst for her diverse experience was her husband’s aviation career, which relocated them several times and, from which, he retired in 1994.
Angela is collaborative and champions the success of others! As part of county leadership, she can be counted on to consider the good of all county operations and how the Clerk and Recorder's Office can contribute to that big-picture success.
As Central Region Chair, Education Committee Chair, Motor Vehicle Legislative Co-Chair, and member of the Executive Board of the Colorado County Clerks Association, she is a partner in the effort to ensure quality clerk operations across the state. As a Certified Election Registration and Administrative professional through The Election Center she also participates with her cohorts nationwide to promote high-quality, partisan-neutral election administration across the country.
