Info | Councilmember Witschi is confident that her 28 years of experience in business consulting, accounting, business-owner advocacy, and human resources consulting will deliver that experience. She is an SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified member of the Society for Human Resource Management and has been delivering Fortune 500 expertise to small and medium-sized businesses in the Seattle area for five years. Prior to this, she was a Senior SAP consultant to large manufacturers like Nissan and Mitsubishi through Ernst & Young (Cap Gemini). These roles required both cross-cultural cooperation and the creation of business partnerships that are essential to attracting businesses and jobs to Renton.
On the softer side, she is the mother of two young children and a published children’s book author (Tabitha, the Fabulous Flying Feline, Walker & Company, 1996). Her wish is that one day her children will choose Renton as a great place to work and to raise their own families. As the daughter of a retired Administrative Law judge and a retired public high school educator, she understands the value that education, career opportunities, and good policies provide to the safety of citizens the economic sustainability of local businesses.
Carol Ann is particularly proud to be on the Board of Directors of The Next Curve and part of the Renton Community Foundation, which is focused on building the next generation of philanthropy in Renton. Last year they raised and distributed grants to over 15 local charities and foundations. Organizations that call her a member include: Women Business Owners, Society for Human Resources Management, Business Networkers International and Women in Technology. She is also a member of the Renton Historical Society. She and her husband, Brent, live in the Kennydale neighborhood of Renton.
