Stephen was elected as the Progressive Conservative Member of Provincial Parliament for Oakville in June 2018. Stephen currently serves as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy.


Local Accomplishments

As an advocate for jobs, economic growth, and cutting red tape, Stephen has worked directly with large and small Ontario businesses to support an open and competitive business environment.

Stephen is particularly proud of significant local accomplishments such as:

$295 million investment in Ford of Canada to secure their continued presence in our community,
Preservation of the Glen Abby golf course as an undeveloped green space, and;
The development of more than 600 long-term care beds for seniors, which is the first development in more than 10 years.
Stephen received the Key to the Town of Oakville on two occasions. In 2019, Stephen received the Key to the Town in recognition of his strong representation of the voice of Oakville residents and in 2021, for his contribution to saving Glen Abbey.


Family and Community

Stephen is the proud father of 2 sets of twin girls and resides in Oakville with his wife Najia. He is a member of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, 100 Guys who Care – Oakville and is a vocal supporter of Plan Canada’s “Because I am a Girl” campaign which advances equal rights for girls and women world-wide.

Career and Education

In addition to graduating from the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto, he holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation. Stephen began his career as a financial advisor at Midland Walwyn and advanced quickly to become an Senior Executive, first with Acuity Funds Ltd and then with O’Leary Funds LP.
