Info | Balvir Singh is a proud resident of Burlington Township where he and his wife, Sandeep, are raising their three beautiful children GJ, Guni, and AJ. He is a full-time public high school teacher and a part-time lecturer at the Rowan College at Burlington County. He has been awarded numerous awards in his academic career and has presented internationally on teaching and learning of mathematics, including recently in Germany and Ecuador. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in the Mathematics Education field at Rutgers University.
Balvir was first elected to the Burlington Township School Board in 2014 and served as the chair of the district’s finance committee, overseeing a $70 million budget, during his three-year term.
Balvir was elected to the Burlington County Freeholder Board in a history-making 2017 election. He is the first Asian-American to be elected to a countywide position in Burlington County and the first Sikh-American to be elected to a countywide position in the State of New Jersey. In his capacity as a Freeholder Deputy Director, he oversees Public Safety, Resource Conservation and Elections.
