InfoRoque “Rocky” De La Fuente Guerra, was born on October 10, 1954, in San Diego California at Mercy Hospital. He is the son of Roque De La Fuente Alexander and Bertha Guerra Yzaguirre. He was raised by Carmelites of the Sacred Heart, The Daughters of the Holy Spirit, Dominican Pillars, Legionaries of Christ, Marist, Jesuits in Tijuana, Baja California, Anaheim California and Mexico City. He attended Saint Catherine’s Military Academy and Anáhuac University where he studied Business Administration.

In 1974 he entered the automotive business. His first job was selling Mazda in El Cajon CA.; then he worked for Toyota (John A. Rose). In late 1975 he became General Sales Manager of Kearny Mesa Volkswagen. Between the years 1976 and 1990 he acquired the following Franchises: Alfa Romeo, American Motors (AMC), Audi, Cadillac, Chrysler, Daihatsu, Dodge, Dodge Truck, GMC trucks, Honda, Isuzu Jeep, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Merkur, Oldsmobile, Peugeot (3), Plymouth, Pontiac, Porsche, Renault, Subaru (2), Volkswagen (2), a total of 28 New Car Franchises in California.

When he wanted to explore new opportunities sold 27 and stayed with one “Cadillac”, his favorite plate is # 9 and 7716, which he still holds today.
In 1979 founded American Automotive Management & Services Inc. and renamed it American International Enterprises Inc, dba American International Realty. In 1982 at the age of 28 he was elected Chairman of the National Dealer Council of USA for the then third largest Automotive Company in the World.

To solve the Mexican Financial Crisis (nationalization of the Mexican Banks in 1982), he opened 11 currency exchange (Peso-Dollar, Dollar-Peso), the largest at that time “D’ Dollar Exchange” and “American Money Exchange”. In California he had several branches: San Ysidro (3), Los Angeles (3), Calexico and in Texas, El Paso (2), Laredo and McAllen, 11 in total.
In 1983, Founder, Shareholder & Director of Balboa National Bank. In 1985, Founder, Director & Shareholder of Pacific Commerce Bank. In 1987, Chairman of the Board, & Largest Shareholder of People’s Bank / First International Bank.

He became the first private citizen to exchange private land with the State of California, trading 787 acres used in the construction of the “Donovan” penitentiary in Otay Mesa for 310 acres next to the future international border crossing, (Otay Mesa Ca.) He was honored in being the First person to cross the new border crossing when it opened in January 24th, 1985. He was also appointed by the City of San Diego to the “Annexation Task Force” to annex County of San Diego lands to the City of San Diego.

The City of San Diego appointed him in 1986 to the Otay Mesa Developing Council. In that same year, he started “De la Fuente Business Park”.
In 1992 he was elected by the California Democratic Party as Delegate at Large (Super Delegate) to represent all California at the New York City Democratic Convention.

In the same year he founded National Enterprises Inc. and acquired the tallest building in San Francisco (circa 1910), “605 Market Street” . He also has prized properties in City of San Diego, City of Santa Monica, City of Stanton, City of Yorba Linda, City of Hemet – California, Cincinnati – Ohio, the City of Cohoes – New York and housing complexes in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Texas and Virginia. As well assisted living in California, Los Angeles (San Pedro) & City of Lemon Grove. Office buildings in West Palm Beach, Florida and Hartford, Connecticut.
He continually adds achievements to his name thanks to his Vision, Drive, Logic, Mathematical, Common & Street Sense which have positioned him as a prominent and successful Hispanic in the world.

His greatest joy in life are his five children from his only wife Katayoun: Roque III (RD3), Katayoun (Katita), Ricardo (Ricky), Kassandra ( Kassy) and Kamila (Kami). He has always wanted to build a better world for them and for future generations.
