Info | Representative Art Hamilton served as the Minority Leader of the Arizona House of Representatives, having been first elected to that position in 1981. He represented District 22 in southwest Phoenix since 1973 and is a native Arizonan. Mr. Hamilton has a strong record of accomplishment in improving Arizona's education system, particularly at the primary level. He has emphasized in his public service measures to broaden Arizona-s economic base and to maintain the high quality of life in Arizona. Long active in NCSL he has served as the organizations President in 1992-93 and President of the Foundation for State Legislatures in 1994-95. Mr. Hamilton is employed as a Public Affairs Representative for Salt River Project, a Phoenix-based water and electric company. He is the father of three children.
