Info | Our country is at a pivotal moment. Washington, D.C. is failing Americans, leaving us with self-serving politicians who are more focused on their own interests than delivering for those in need, fixing our broken political system, and ending the partisan gridlock that has brought our country to a standstill.
I first came to this country as an immigrant and through hard work and determination achieved the American Dream. As an immigrant, small-business owner, and mother, I have spent my career in this community, fighting to give all Americans a chance to live their own dream.
As the first Korean American Assemblywoman to represent Southern California, I stood up for what is right and fought for victims of domestic violence, championed legislation to keep tuition at public colleges low, secured funding for veterans and homeless children, and fought tax increases that hurt middle-class families. I promised to be a bipartisan voice for families, workers and small businesses and kept that promise.
Now, I am running for Congress to be the commonsense problem solver our community deserves in Washington. I will do what’s right even if it means standing up to both parties.
We have seen too many politicians break their promises to advance their self-interests. We need a leader that isn’t going to be changed by Washington and will keep her word.
In Congress, I will find bipartisan solutions to fix our broken healthcare system. As a mother of a child with pre-existing conditions, I know the importance of quality accessible healthcare and prescription drugs that are affordable – and will help make that a reality for all families.
As we recover from COVID-19, I will ensure our economy has the support it needs to bounce back stronger than ever. I will stand up against Sacramento-style policies that raise taxes, hurt small businesses, and kill jobs.
I will also ensure we lessen the burden of taxes on struggling families and business to make life more affordable and allow our communities to thrive.
Washington politicians have lost their way, and it’s time to elect a someone that breaks gridlock with common-sense, bipartisan solutions. We should expect more from our leaders and as your representative, I will keep my word and always hold myself to the standard our community deserves.
