Cullen; reelected to the fifteen succeeding Congresses and served from June 6, 1944, until his resignation on December 31, 1974; was not a candidate for reelection in 1974 to the Ninety-fourth Congress; resided in Washington, D.C., until his death there on October 26, 1975; interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.
