InfoAtif Qarni lives in Manassas with his wife, Fatima, and two sons, Zane and Saber. He has lived in Manassas since 2005 and enjoys coaching sports. In the last several years, Qarni has coached football with the Greater Manassas Football League and Manassas Park Youth Football League. He has also coached soccer with the Northern Virginia Soccer League. Additionally, Qarni has coached Track and Field at Fred Lynn Middle School and Beville Middle School. Qarni grew up in Parkville, Maryland with his parents and two brothers. He graduated from Parkville High School in 1996, and enlisted with the Marine Corps Reserves right after high school. He attended George Washington University in Washington, DC, from 1996-2000, where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.

In 2007, Qarni received his Master's Degree in History from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He also holds a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Strayer University.

Qarni joined the Marine Corps Reserves in 1996, soon after he graduated from high school. He served honorably with the Marines for eight years. In 2003, Sgt. Qarni was deployed to Iraq for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Atif M. Qarni currently teaches 8th grade mathematics at Beville Middle School, located in Prince William County. He has been teaching mathematics in Prince William County since 2008. In the evenings, he also teaches GED classes at Manassas Park High School.
