Info | BettyLou DeCroce has been an assemblywoman since 2012, and Republican assistant leader since August 2017.
DeCroce’s public service dates back to 1981, when she was first elected to the Mine Hill Council. She served on the Roxbury Township planning board from 1984 to 1987, and was employed by the township as its clerk from 1988 to 2010. She was also a deputy commissioner in Gov. Chris Christie’s administration at the state Department of Community Affairs from 2010 to 2012. During this time, she authored best practices for municipalities that became a statewide model for identifying efficiencies in local government for reducing property taxes. A successful businesswoman, she is a realtor and president of ERA Gallo & DeCroce Inc.
A resident of Parsippany, DeCroce has two grown sons and three grandchildren.
