| Info | Sancia Colgrave grew up in Darwin and moved to Tasmania about 7 years ago when her parents retired 'back home'. Sancia is a committed resident of Bass, having bought a bush property with her partner, Michael, their two dogs and one cat last year. She has worked in the State Service previously with the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources and is now employed with Centrelink in Launceston.
Sancia despairs at the lost potential for Bass to develop both economically and as a community, and the neglect of regional areas for the provision of basic necessities. She attributes much of this to a complacent and tired system of government, with elected representatives who are unconcerned with initiating real change. Sancia is encouraged by the commitment the people of Bass show to their region and their strong desire to protect all the wonderful resources Bass holds, namely its people and its environment.
Sancia believes we need real change or we risk losing what it is that makes us unique and is prepared to work hard to support the people of Bass.
