InfoA successful broadcast journalist and active community leader, Donna is a familiar face in Hamilton and throughout Ontario. Her journalism career started more than 22 years ago when she joined CHCH in Hamilton, and is proud to have spearheaded an initiative to help save Canada’s oldest independent station and the 125 jobs that depend upon its success.

“Hamilton has been good to me.” Donna says. ”I’ve raised my children in this community, met wonderful people, and I’m proud to call Ancaster my home” she continued. Never one to back down from a challenge, Donna is a strong advocate for children and the less fortunate, and has been a tireless volunteer, public speaker and board member for a host of charitable groups.

Her list of associations is numerous: World Vision, Hamilton Children’s Aid Society, the Catholic Youth Organization, Make it Seven, (an effort to bring an NHL franchise to Hamilton), Hamilton Minor League Football, Dundas Hockeyville, Banyan Community Services and the National Advisory Board on Canadian Culture . Her community involvement was recognized when she was named Hamilton Woman of the Year by the YWCA. ”My family and I firmly believe in giving back…it’s what helps keep a community strong.”

Having to balance hockey, homework, a mortgage, soaring household bills and assisting her parents with the unique challenges they face in their senior years, Donna believes we have reached the limit of what the government can demand of Ontario families. Donna is excited to be part a Tim Hudak Ontario PC team that will give families the respect that they deserve and the relief that they need.
