InfoRep. Judy Morgan, a Democrat, represents part of Jackson County (District 24) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was first elected in a special election in November 2011.

In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Morgan is a retired school teacher and counselor. She has worked in the Kansas City Public School District at Northeast High School, Central High School and Lincoln College Prep for twenty-nine years. She served as President of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT ) from 1999-2009 representing and serving its membership.

Rep. Morgan is a member of the following organizations: American Federation of Teachers; Legislative Chair of the Greater Kansas City Women’s Political Caucus; Development Officer of the Missouri Association of Social Welfare; and KKFI Community Radio Board.

Rep. Morgan is a 1966 graduate of Bishop Hogan High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Born January 11, 1948 in Kansas City, Rep. Morgan currently resides in Kansas City with her husband Gene Morgan. She has one daughter Courtney Morgan Baker, and son-in-law, Roby.
