Info | Jacques-Simon Eggleston (* September 4 1942 in Geneva , a native of in Bellevue ) is a Swiss politician ( LPS ).
Eggleston, the Licentiate of the law was achieved and then as political reporter for the newspaper Le Temps operates. He later received his diploma at the Geneva Graduate Institute of International Studies and was then working as a teacher.
From 1977 to 1983 he was in the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva . November 1983 he was in the National Council elected and had a seat there in several commissions. In 1997 he was elected by his party as president and held that post until 2002. In the Swiss Parliament elections in 2007 , he joined no longer and resigned on 2 December 2007 and the large chamber.
Since 2007 he is President of the Swiss Abroad .
Eggleston is married and has three children.
