Info | Marcia is the youngest of 3 children. Her father, Charles McIlhaney, Sr. and mother, Hilda, were married for 56 years.
Her father worked for the Lehigh New England Railroad then Conrail for over 45 years. Her mother worked at a hosiery mill in her younger years then worked for JJ Newberry in Northampton where she retired as the luncheonette manager.
Marcia started her life of community service in 1969 when she went with her church conference to Biloxi Mississippi to help victims of Hurricane Camille.
Marcia has had many experiences of what hard work is. When she was in High school her first job was a clerk in the local five and dime and then as a sewing machine operator in a blouse mill in Nazareth. After graduation from Nazareth High School she was accepted into nursing school but choose to stay working in the mill, get married and then start a family.
Over twenty five years ago, Marcia began her impressive constituent career working for Len Gruppo who was our State Representative at the time. Marcia has been Craig Dally’s office manager and Constituent Outreach Coordinator over the last 10 years.
“I worked with Governor’s Veterans Outreach and Assistance Center to assist veterans with their issues. I‘ve also worked on State issues with municipal officials and volunteer fire and ambulance companies within the district.”
As outreach coordinator Marcia organized and ran such events as Rep. Dally’s Senior Expo, Drug and Alcohol Task Force Seminar and the Constituent Breakfasts.
