Info | Corey Mohn co-founded Planning Initiatives, a city planning consulting firm, in the summer of 2001. At Planning Initiatives, Corey is an associate who maintains a diversified set of positions within the firm, including project liason, finanacial analyst, and office manager.
In the year 2000, Corey brought his award winning educational career to the business of economic development. He directs development and redevelopment projects by compiling enterprise zone applications, coordinating tax increment financing projects, and creating succinct charts and tables to calculate and summarize land-value information. He performs these tasks as an associate for Planning Initiatives, with a particular emphasis on assisting community leaders and developers and tailoring the product to the client.
Corey double majored in political science and economics at Washington University and graduated magna cum laude. While in attendance, he was inducted into both the Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha scholastic honor societies. Additionally, in 1999 he was named co-recipient of the Arnold J. Lien Prize. He was active in government while an undergraduate, first as a Congressional Intern for a member of the Missouri delegation and then as a White House Intern in the Office of Vice President Al Gore. Additionally, Corey spent time in 1999 and 2000 working on the Gore 2000 campaign. He currently participates in neighborhood politics in the City of St. Louis, and serves as a volunteer in the Mentor St. Louis program.
