| Info | Lakhvinder Jhaj has lived in the Okanagan area for over 22 years.
Jhaj and her husband are small business operators, running two convenience stores. Prior to that they ran an orchard.
At the same time, Jhaj has also reported on and produced a number of shows for television station CHBC. She had her own segment called "Okanagan Now."
She has served on a number of municipal bodies and was on the board of directors for the Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of B.C. for six years. She was also on the steering committee for the Settlement and Multiculturalism Branch of B.C.
She has won a number of awards for her community work, including a 2004 "Achievment Award" from the provincial government. In 2004 she was recognized by Okanagan Life magazine has one of the Okanagan's most amazing people.
Jhaj is married to Amarjit. They have four children, Paul, Livelan, Jeevan and Armaan.
