Rod Johnston was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and Wisconsin State Senate.
Johnston was born in Milwaukee. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and George Washington University Law School.
Johnston was a member of the Assembly from 1975 to 1979 and the Senate from 1979 to 1985. In 1982, he ran for the United States House of Representatives from Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, losing to Jim Moody.
