| Info | I am a 41 year old consultant pediatrician. I have lived and worked in Oshawa for the last 8 years. My kids were born and raised here – they go to an Oshawa public school. My wife, Dr. Susan Campbell is also Oshawa born and bred and also a pediatrician. She shares my office with me.
I have been on staff at our hospital since 1999 and I am now proud to serve our community as your Chief of Pediatrics at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
I established and hold the position of Director of the KinderClinic Children’s urgent care on Simcoe Street, which is staffed only by pediatricians, letting our kids get the best possible help whenever needed.
In my office I follow many complex care children with very difficult conditions such as congenital heart problems, life threatening asthma and special needs, including children with autism, ADHD and CAS cases.
I also take care of many children with Type I Juvenile Diabetes and sit on the Board of the Charles H Best Diabetes Centre in Whitby.
I believe both in the office and the hospital I have proven my worth to the community with my professionalism, dedicated care for your children, honesty and personal integrity.
I was born in London, England – but, hopefully, you won’t hold that against me!
I graduated from Edinburgh Medical School in Scotland, and emigrated from there to Canada in 1992.
I received my specialist training in Pediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and have worked as a community based consultant pediatrician since 1997.
As you might have guessed, I am very dedicated to our health care system, our children’s education and fighting poverty, especially as it affects our youngest and most vulnerable citizens.
I am a Canadian citizen and hold my country dear to my heart, as most immigrants do!
I am proud to be a Canadian, and a die-hard Oshawa Generals and Maple Leafs fan.
I love to skate, ski, read, play with my kids, and occasionally fall off horses!
One other very important thing to know about me is I’m very passionate about my causes, but I don’t take myself too seriously!
