Info | Bennice Jones-King was sworn in as Alderman of the 21st Ward in ceremonies April 15 in the Red Villa Chamber of City Hall. Jones-King, 45, is a native St. Louisan who earned a BS degree in psychology and criminal justice from Northeast Mo (now Truman State) Univ., Kirksville. She’s been an administrative assistant to the Circuit Court Clerk and was deputy director of the Early Childhood Education Assoc. here. She and her husband, Ronald, have two sons. She served as 21st. Ward Alderman from 1993 to 2000, and was elected this April to that post as a political Independent, succeeding Melinda Long.
