| Info | Michael grew up in Edmonton and has lived and worked in Edmonton Calder for most of his life. He completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Alberta in Human Geography and has been a committed member of his community. He has been a volunteer, contributing to Habitat for Humanity projects in Edmonton, Edmonton Food Bank, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, as well as serving his community leading a Summer Sports Program for neighborhood children, and co-organizing annual neighbourhood block parties at Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church. In 2004 and 2005 respectively, Michael volunteered in Vancouver's East side and Tijuana Mexico, with Youth With A Mission to serve people most affected by poverty. Michael studied abroad in Italy travelled throughout Croatia, Hungary, and England, volunteering in Norfolk, England to promote sustainable agriculture.
