Rep. Ken Fiebelman, a Democrat, represents Dent County and parts of Crawford, Phelps and Reynolds Counties (District 150) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

Elected to his sixth consecutive two-year term in 1994, Rep. Fiebelman is chairman of the House Mines and Mining Committee. He also serves on the following House committees: Agri-Business; State Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources; and Transportation.

Significant legislative accomplishments for Rep. Fiebelman include sponsoring one bill that establishes the violin as the official state instrument and another measure that makes Highway 19 the first Missouri scenic and historic state route.

Prior to serving in the House, Rep. Fiebelman was a teacher in Salem and St. Clair and a tourism promoter for Meramec Caverns.

Rep. Fiebelman is a recipient of the Outstanding Citizen Award from the Salem Chamber of Commerce, Meramec Regional Planning Commission Outstanding Legislator Award and an award for promoting tourism from St. James, Mo.

He is a member of the following organizations: Howes Mill Union Church; Salem Masonic and Odd Fellows; St. Louis Scottish Rite and Shrine; Cuba, Salem and Steelville Chambers of Commerce; Farm Bureau; Missouri, Crawford and Dent County Cattlemen's Associations; Dent County Museum Board; Dent County Home Care Advisory Commission; Dent, Crawford, Phelps and Reynolds County Historical Societies; Davisville Historical Society; Missouri Historical Society; National Riflemen's Association; Fraternal Order of Eagles; ABC Memorial Foundation Board; Salem Saddle Club; Salem Collectors Club; Salem Booster Club; Missouri Archives; Salem High Alumni; and Honor-Guest American Legion Post 99.

Rep. Fiebelman is also secretary-treasurer for Boss and Stone Hill Cemeteries Perpetual Care Funds. He is an honorary Knight of St. Patrick at the University of Missouri-Rolla and a member of the Blarney Club. A local historian, Rep. Fiebelman has helped to publish several books.

A 1959 graduate of Salem High School, Rep. Fiebelman received a bachelor of science degree in business education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1963.
