| Info | Elvis was born on the coastal boat, The Nonia, on January 3, 1972, en route from Seal Cove Fortune Bay to Harbour Breton. He is the youngest of nine and grew up in Seal Cove, Fortune Bay.
Graduating from John Loveless Memorial in 1989-90, Elvis went on to study 5 years of post-secondary education in the area of Business and Public Administration, achieving a 3-year diploma in public administration and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
In 1996, Elvis went to work in the Government Member’s Office and shortly after, he became Administrative Assistant to the chief of staff in Premier Brian Tobin’s office. In July of 1997, Elvis served as Executive Assistant to the Honourable Oliver Langdon, Minister of Environment and Labour and Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs. He stayed in that position until the Fall of 2002, at which time he joined Premier Roger Grimes’ staff as a Political Communications Strategist. From the Fall of 2003 to present, he is part of the Leader of the Opposition’s staff in the role of Research and Communications.
Special interests which Elvis has been involved in include residential construction and sports, especially Friday night ice hockey. He is also quite active in his daughter’s school and was elected parent representative of the Paradise Elementary School Council in September 2006. He is also a member of the Corps Council at his church.
Currently, Elvis sits as a cabinet committee member of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation fundraising campaign.
Elvis resides in Paradise with his wife Marsha and 2 children, Kaitlyn (5) and Ryan (2).
