Info | William L. "Will" Callaway was raised in Cleveland, TN, and attended the Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN, where he now resides. He works as a sales representative for Callaway Sales, located in Cleveland, and is pursuing the Democratic nomination for Tennessee's 3rd Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1986, Will served for three and one-half years on the staff of Senator Jim Sasser. Following service in the United States Senate, he worked as the executive director for Eastern Professional River Outfitters before earning his Master of Science degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Management from the University of Michigan in 1993.
Will has worked for the National Parks and Conservation Association, the National Audubon Society, the National Environmental Trust, and the World Wildlife Fund.
He currently serves on several boards in the Chattanooga area and is an active golfer, kayaker, fisherman and plays in the Middle Valley Soccer Association.
A member of the First Centenary United Methodist Church, Will participates in numerous community activities, also serving on the Volunteer Council at WTCI, public television.
Education University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. School of Natural Resources and Environment, conferred Master of Sciences in Resource Behavior and Administration, May, 1993. Curriculum concentrated on water quality and land management issues; master's project analyzed change in management practices of the U.S. Forest Service.

Employment Tennessee Democratic Party, State Field Director. Responsible for coordinating activities of county parties statewide, with primary focus in East Tennessee; worked with party officials and candidates in more than 200 elections statewide in 1998. Served as a representative and spokesperson for the party from February, 1998 to June, 1999.
Environmental Information Center, Legislative Director. Managed legislative operations for national environmental campaigns, with specific efforts to strengthen the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Community Right to Know Act and the Clean Air Act; also was responsible for directing EIC efforts in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate and for serving as a liaison to the Administration. Eastern Professional River Outfitters, Executive Director. Directed the day to day activities of the association, which represented the interests of 63 white water river outfitters and 20 manufacturers and suppliers to the outfitting trade. May, 1990 - May, 1991.
