Info | Robert Innes comes to the FCP after becoming disillusioned with the idea that so called enlightened policies of the Trudeau era which had produced divisiveness, weakness and poor prospects instead of the utopia its originators had imagined. His youthful live-and-let-live philosophy soured as the safety valve of abortion, feminism and gay liberation transmuted into reckless modern lifestyle choices. He asks what are the implications of a below replacement birth rate in a post 911 world? In addition, multiculturalism and individualism, initially fostered by a youthful openness and innocence in the Trudeau era, seems to have lead to a convenient Hotel Canada concept and an inability to address real world problems, which are often politically incorrect.
Historical examples suggest gravely negative consequences. He is determined to try to wake an apathetic electorate as to the terminal nature of our present course.
He believes that the three main parties, like the officers of the Titanic are oblivious of the dangers inherent in our present course and are busy arguing about minor issues that will not change history such as lotteries, municipal taxes, shuffling programs between different levels of government, banning light bulbs, coal vs nuclear, doctor shortages, new roads, Cricket clubs...
He wants to alert all voters to the 900 pound gorillas on the loose in the form of demographic decline, vicious taxation, growing erosion of important traditions and institutions, suffocation by regulation, 911 naivete and a flawed misunderstanding of the one gorilla we recognize - global warming.

Mr. Innes practiced engineering in the field of waste management, pollution control, recycling and energy management up until his retirement in 1997.
He promoted the concept of social recycling as a means of engaging people and materials back into the economy similar to the Third Sector concept pioneered by Hamilton.
Since then, as well as pursuing an interest in politics, he has undertaken private initiatives in various recycling, energy conservation and renovation projects.
His wife, Lolita and two kids are the source of his inspiration, motivation and perspiration, just like most other families.
