"Admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Connecticut, Mr. Kiefel is also a member of the bar of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, United States District Court for Connecticut, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal and Third Circuits. Mr. Kiefel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Lebanon Valley College in 1985, and a Juris Doctor from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of the Louisiana State University in 1988.
Mr. Kiefel also donates a significant amount of time to the community. From 1988 through 2001, he served as a Coach for the Downingtown Young Whippets Football Club, and continues to serve in a part-time capacity with that organization. Additionally, in 2002, Mr. Kiefel served as an Officer for the Bert Bell Memorial Football Conference. Community involvements lead to his election to the bipartisan Home Rule Charter Commission of Downingtown, Pennsylvania. From 1991 to 1993, the Charter Commission studied the fiscal, and administrative operations of the Borough of Downingtown, produced a timely report for the citizens, and campaigned for the adoption of a Home Rule Charter. Mr. Kiefel also served on the Borough of Downingtown’s Capital Improvements Committee from 1997 to 1998. From 1994 through 2003, he served as an elected member of the Republican Committee of Chester County, Pennsylvania."
