Info | Attorney Floyd Morrow served on the San Diego City Council from 1965 to 1978 under mayors Frank Curran and Pete Wilson. Despite Wilsons subsequent political rise, Frank was a lot brighter than Pete, and also much more of a doer, Morrow maintains.
A champion of open space, the diminutive Morrow laid groundwork for the Tecolote Canyon and Mission Trails Regional Park. In 1986, he attempted a political comeback by running for mayor against Bill Cleator and Maureen OConnor, stunning pundits by taking 15 percent of the vote despite having been out of the public eye for nearly a decade. He ran for mayor again and narrowly lost to OConnor; after that, he made several more abortive bids for office, most recently in 1994 for the State Board of Equalization.
Now 64, Morrow continues to practice law while devoting most of his time to Morrow Mobiles, which manufactures and leases expandable rooms.
