Info | Milt was born and raised in the Maidstone area. He attended the University of Sask and graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 1962. Following the completion of his education, Milt taught high school in Calgary, Jinja at Uganda in East Africa, and Maidstone. In addition to this, Milt also instructed adult education in Lloydminster and Introductory Agriculture Computing with the Sask Department of Adult Education.
After serving with the Canadian Grain Commission in Winnipeg, Milt moved back to Lloydminster, and worked as an agricultural consultant. Milt has been involved extensively for almost 40 years with the Canadian Grain industry as a farmer, the CEO of a government agency, and as a director of a private company.
Milt served as director of the Canadian Western Agribition, director of Hedley Technologies Inc., Chief Commissioner of the Canadian Grain Commission, Vice-Chair of the Canadian International Grains Institute, and director of the Canola Council of Canada.
Milt was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 1999 as a Saskatchewan Party MLA. Milt was re-elected in 2003 and currently serves as the Interim Caucus Chair, Official Opposition Critic for Seniors, Deputy Critic for Resources, and as a member of the Standing Committee on Human Services.
Milt and his wife Carrol have two sons and five granddaughters.
