InfoOn his farm, in his church, and in his community, Randy Weekes has deep roots in the Biggar community. Randy was born in Biggar, Saskatchewan, and grew up on the family farm. Upon graduating from Biggar Composite High School, Randy studied at the University of Saskatchewan and received a Diploma in Agriculture. Randy also earned his Competent Toastmaster Award (CTM) with Toastmaster International.

Randy has been farming and ranching with his family near Biggar since 1976. He is a partner in Weekes Custom Feeding Inc., which operates an 8,000 head custom feedlot. His business also manages a 5,000 acre grain farm and raises elk and Red Angus cattle.

Randy is an active member of his community. He is a member of St. Gabriel’s Parish and the Knights of Columbus. He has served as chairman of the Biggar Knights of Columbus Trade & Craft Show, and as a provincial director of Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus. He is past chairman of the Sask Feeder Co-op Association, and a past member of the Board of Directors for Saskatchewan Cattle Feeders Association. Randy is Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on the Economy.

Randy was elected in 1999 and has served as Environment critic, Labour critic, Deputy Liquor & Gaming critic, and Deputy House Leader. Randy has also served on the Standing Policy Committee for Public Resource Management, the Legislative Committee on Agriculture, the Legislative Committee on Continuing Select and Non-controversial Bills, and on the Caucus Management Committee.

Randy and his wife Cindy live on their farm near Biggar with their son, Marshall, and their two daughters, Lacey and Alexandra.
