| Info | An administrator, Michel Després served as Special Adviser for the Department of Canadian Heritage and Operations Manager at Groupe gestion Sal-Tan Inc. He is also member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec.
Elected as Member for Limoilou in the general election held in 1985, reelected in 1989, 1998 and 2003, Michel Després held various positions: Official opposition critic for the Capitale-Nationale; Presiding Officer; member, Québec Section, of the Ontario-Québec Parliamentary Association (APOQ); member, Québec Section, of the Liaison group for relations with the French Senate of the France-Québec Interparliamentary Committee (CIFQ); and member of the Committee on Public Administration.
Greatly involved in his community, he is a member of the Corporation de l'Institut de cardiologie de Québec, of the Cercle de la Garnison as well as a member of the Ordre de la Pléiade. Michel Després is married and the father of a little girl.
