| Info | C. Diane Bishop was elected in 2004 as an at-large member of the Phoenix Union High School District governing board. Bishop was the former Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction from 1987 to 1995 and was a State Board of Education member three years prior to her election as superintendent. She is currently the Executive Director of the Maricopa Health Foundation. Bishop has two Master’s degrees in mathematics and education from the University of Arizona. She was a high school teacher in the Tucson Unified School District for 20 years. Her term expires in 2008.
