Info | I was born in September of 1960 in Cincinnati, the son of Betty and Gene Silver, both of Anderson Township. I grew up in this area, attending Maddux Elementary, Anderson Middle and Anderson High School. I played basketball and baseball, was a member of the National Honor Society and was the President of my class in both my Junior and Senior years. I attended the University of Cincinnati where I graduated with a BBA in Business Administration with a marketing major.
But my first love was flying. Starting in high school, I earned my first piloting license at the age of 16 and was a commercial pilot by the time I was 18. I worked my way through college as a flight instructor and corporate pilot. After graduation, I was hired at the Procter and Gamble Company where I worked as a corporate pilot for 14 years, flying the top executives of the company to locations around the world. Today, I am a pilot for one of the largest airlines in the country and based here in Cincinnati.
I have been married to my wife Kim for 21 years. She works for Episcopal Retirement Homes, Marjorie P. Lee in Hyde Park in the marketing department. We have two children; a son at The Ohio State University and a daughter at Turpin High School.
I have been active in the community for many years. I have served as the President of the Turpin Hills Swim and Racquet Club and been on the boards of various service groups in the community. I am active in my church and have just completed a four year term as Junior/Warden of Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church. Besides my lay leader duties, I have served Saint Timothy’s as a youth leader in our high school program. I also served as a vestry member at St. Thomas Church in Terrace Park where I volunteered as a leader at their Thomaston Woods complex in Amelia.
I am also a member of GAPP (Greater Anderson Promotes Peace), the Air Line Pilot’s Association and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
