Regent Bob McLendon served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 1983 until 2001,
where he served for a time as House Democratic leader. Subsequently, he served on the Yuma
County Board of Supervisors before retiring from elected office in 2004. McLendon taught American history and government at Yuma High School from 1961 until 1998. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Arizona State University. Regent McLendon was appointed to the Board in 2008.
