InfoJeff Berding is a first-time Councilmember and fifth-generation Cincinnatian. He was born and raised in Westwood, where he currently lives. He is the proud father of three young children. Councilmember Berding attended St. Catharine Elementary School, St. Xavier High School, and graduated with honors from Miami University. He received his MBA with honors from Xavier University.
Councilmember Berding’s top priorities over the next two years are crime reduction, helping to strengthen and support Cincinnati Public Schools, service excellence, blight elimination, and government reform.
Crime Reduction:
Among Councilmember Berding’s legislative priorities are anti-crime cameras and more police visibility on our streets.
Strengthen Our Schools:
Councilmember Berding will work to promote and expand public/private partnerships to get more resources to our schools. He will work to establish such relationships at schools that do not currently have them.
Service Excellence:
Councilmember Berding will work with City workers to enhance performance and accountability.
Eliminate Blight:
Councilmember Berding will help form and fund Community Development Corporations. He will work to expand the Housing Court to strengthen code enforcement.
Reform Government:
Councilmember Berding will work to build a broad coalition to put in place a true strong mayor system.
