InfoKen Arnold, 51, is a businessman and Senior Benefit Plan Management Consultant with Arnold Business Enterprises LLC -- a general business, accounting, and human resource management consulting company. Previously, Mr. Arnold directed the Employee Benefits function for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. – a fortune 100 financial services firm he was part of management for thirteen years. Mr. Arnold was part of the original management team who started Discover Credit Card in 1985. This firm, headquartered in Riverwoods, now employs over 14,000 employees nationwide -- several thousand 8th Congressional District area residents -- and recently went public with a value of over $14 Billion.

Ken Arnold graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University's Kelly School of Business with Both BS and MBA degrees in General Business Administration from that institution. In addition to the above degree programs, Mr. Arnold has received postgraduate study certifications of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from the Wharton School of Business and Senior Professional in Human Resource Management (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management.

Ken Arnold has been a presenter at national Human Resource Management conferences and an advisor to Employee Benefits Expo – the largest annual gathering of employee benefits professionals in the nation. He has also been quoted in the Employee Benefits News and The Wall Street Journal on various healthcare and benefit plan issues.

Mr. Arnold’s particular expertise, education, and experience provide him with the strongest of foundations to address the issues that face our nation and the citizens of the 8th Congressional District. Ken Arnold is committed to fixing the twin crises of our national healthcare and retirement income plan programs using his knowledge and experience in healthcare and retirement plan design/management.

The American people simply cannot afford to continue the status quo.

We must reform the system...and time is running out!

Mr. Arnold has long and deep roots both in Lake County and Republican Party leadership. Most recently, he continues as a Warren Township Precinct Committeeman and Officer of that organization. (He previously was its two-term Chairman). Ken also has recently functioned as a Vice Chairman of the Lake County Republican Party

Ken Arnold started at age 12 in his hometown within the Teenage Republicans (TARS). He served in various leadership positions - including its President. (See above photo of Mr. Arnold conferring with U.S. Senator Barry M. Goldwater while at a Washington, D.C. leadership conference). While in High School, he was the campaign manager of his mother’s successful bid for County-wide office. And in college, he was a Director of the Indiana University College Republicans, an elected Indiana State Republican Convention Delegate, and founder/first intern of the Indiana State Republican Headquarters’ internship program.

Ken Arnold’s greatest personal accomplishments as a Republican leader have been during his tenure as Warren Township’s Republican Party Chairman. During Ken’s Chairmanship (1998-2002), Warren Township experienced great growth in Committeemen, fundraising, and Republican election successes. In fact: Warren Township delivered more votes for Republicans in 2000 than any of the other 17 Lake County Townships. Moreover, he continued that record in the 2004 General Election as an officer of that organization.

Ken Arnold has resided in Lake County, Illinois for well over 20 years and lives with his wife Susan (a High School classmate of his) and their 12 year old daughter, Caroline, in the Village of Gurnee.
