Biden and Sanders pretty much have one direction to go in the polls, so I'm wondering if this will effectively become a Harris vs Warren race after the first primaries (with Sanders getting the votes of his die-hards but not really a factor). You've got to feel bad for Castro - after getting positive recognition for his debate performance, he went from 2% to... 1%. So much for breaking out of the third tier.

Not surprised. Even before these polls came out, it was clear that Biden failed in his first interview with the voters in the Debate. And Harris was the big winner. The polls just confirm voters feelings about the debate. Harris is very articulate and shows empathy in her communication - a knock out combo that very few politicians have. She's also very likeable. I believe she is the most dangerous Democrat in the field. But Democrats are great at eating their own. Curious to see what comes out now that she has made a leap forward.

Harris is going to have to answer for and handle the anxiety over her lackluster civil rights record as prosecutor/AG with humility and sincerity. If she can weather that problem, she will be unstoppable.

Harris is surprisingly still pretty for her advanced years, and is good at fake crying. But Trump would run rings around her in the national debates. She beat Joe Biden? My niece could stick a knife in Joe Biden's back. Biden should stick to debating people like Swalwell. Then he might have a chance. The strongest top-tier Democrat is Elizabeth Warren. Conveniently, she'd probably make the least-bad President out of that bunch as well.

I get that money in politics is out of control and shouldn't be the only indicator of how good a candidate is, but... Biden's going senile, and would quite possibly die in office. With the talk of his selecting Stacey Abrams as his running-mate, that prospect does not thrill me. It certainly doesn't sound like a recipe for "bring[ing] some normalcy back".
