Description |
The turkish general election in june 2011 will be the first one to be hold after a complete term of the Parliament since 34 years. It is also the first election where the use of the kurdish tongue for campaigning will not be prohibited.
Nearly 27 parties are running in Turkey in order to enter the Parliament. However, only those who will reach over 10% of the actual votes would be able to enter in the Parliament.
The incumbent Prime Minister Erdogan is running for a third term. Since its victory in 2010, when the AKP Party convinced the voters to reform the Constitution, is seen as the favourite by the polls.
