Judge Alito's hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee convened on Monday, January 9, 2006 at noon and concluded on Friday, January 13. The committee vote was held Tuesday, January 24. Alito was favorably recommended to the Senate on a 10-8 party lines vote.
