| Data Sources | The New Hampshire Manual states that GW received 1,782 votes for Federalist Electors and 980 for Anti-Federalist Electors. Rusk states that the Federalist Electors, running opposed, received 8,924 votes. I hope that Rusk did not add the vote of each Federalist Elector to get this number, since the standard methodology of computing presidential votes under the General Ticket system is to give the national nominee (GW in this case) the highest vote of any elector in each county. |
