Description |
The Democrats scored a landslide in the U.S. Senate races of 1936. They won 24 seats to 6 for the Republicans and two others, for a net gain of six. The Farmer Labor Party picked up the second Senate seat in MN. The new Senate stood 75 Democrats, 17 Republicans, 2 Farmer Labor, one Progressive, and one Independent.
