however given that it's a Trump year and the fact that I don't know if the Michigan GOP is going to nominate someone strong,
I do think the GOP cares as much as the Democrats on nominating a strong candidate in this race, but not as much consideration in the US Senate race. In 2022, the GOP picked the strongest candidate in that field, but the candidates were abysmal. In 2018, the Republicans had two good choices, and they choose either of those candidates.
