Center-right Croatian-nationalist party founded by Božo Ljubić after his secession from the HDZ BiH in 2006, followed shortly thereafter by a group of dissidents, after he lost his bid for HDZ BiH leader in 2005. Party was formed mainly to oppose the "April Package," a proposal for constitutional changes agreed upon by three national representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina in Washington on March 15, 2006. Party also supports social market principles and NATO entry. Party periodically unites with other Croatian associations and parties to form political platforms and protest coalitions. Party is lead by Ilija Cvitanović [Hrvatska demokratska zajednica 1990 (HDZ 1990)].
