| Description | Center-left, animal rights party founded by Carlos Pichuante Verdugo. Party's declared objective is to reinforce the Law on responsible ownership of pets and companion animals, known as the "Cholito Law" (Ley Cholito, named after a dog which was beaten to death) in force since July 19, 2017, which, among other things, forces owners to implant microchips in their pets, and provides jail time to individuals who injure or kill them. Party was legalized on August 29, 2023 and participated in elections for the first time in the regions of O'Higgins, Maule, Nuble and the Metropolitan Region of Santiago [Partido Alianza Verde Popular (PAVP)]. |
