| Description | Centrist party formed to harness the popular frustration with compulsory voting in Belgium. Party seeks to amend Belgium's Constitution which allows empty seats in Parliament, made empty due to lack of voter participation, to be distributed to other parties as "bonus seats." Non-voters are estimated to amount to 12% of Belgium's registered voters. Party gives the non-voter the option of casting a blank vote in protest. Party's motto is 'No party deserves my vote.' Party was co-founded by Laurent Ryckaert [Parti Blanco; Partij Blanco (PB)]. |
